The HALL AG is planning to revitalize the Volders power plant. The BERNARD Gruppe was commissioned with the preparation of the application documents for permits under water and nature conservation laws, which were submitted to the authority by the end of June.

The hydropower plant in Volders, which was commissioned in 1967, will be “repowered”. The output of the plant will be increased from 6.9 MW to 11.2 MW, with an annual output of just under 40 GWh (up from 33.5 GWh).
The future discharge of the mandatory water volume at the weir system will correspond to the latest ecological requirements. In addition, the Volders power plant will supply the households in the HALL AG grid with electricity even in the event of a blackout.
