The steam to hot water conversion at the EnBW (Energie Baden-Württemberg AG) power plant in the north of Heilbronn will also require traffic engineering services as part of the traffic control measures accompanying the construction works. The BERNARD Gruppe will provide a traffic control concept, an assessment of necessary traffic light adaptations and a cost estimate.

The alignment and the associated transport infrastructure along the roads and intersections mainly concern the routes from the power plant site in Lichtenbergstrasse, the north-south connections of Auststrasse/Weipertstrasse and Salzstrasse, as well as the link roads Dieselstrasse and Karl-Wüst-Strasse. In the south, the project area also comprises the block around Koepffstrasse, Etzelstrasse and Gottlieb-Daimler-Strasse, which connects to the Salzstrasse and Weipertstrasse.

The steam to hot water conversion in this area will be carried out in several successive stages at 18 intersections with 21 subsections between the intersections. It has to be ensured that the realization of the measures will have as few impacts on traffic as possible.

The services provided by the BERNARD Gruppe include the preparation and presentation of a traffic control concept, the adaptation of the required traffic lights and the definition of the building plots.
