The A 12 Inntal motorway is one of the most important north-south traffic axes in Europe. It is also one of the busiest road sections in Austria.

Due to years of increasing traffic loads, more and more road sections along the Inntal motorway are reaching their technical limits and require extensive maintenance.

The Austrian state motorway company (ASFINAG) is therefore carrying out extensive renovation work on the A 12 section between the German-Austrian border and the Kufstein Inn bridge.

The renewal of the entire asphalt structure (including infiltration troughs and water protection basins) are significant parts of this project.

In order to contain or reduce noise pollution, the existing noise protection wall is removed, heightened and newly erected in accordance with an overall architectural concept.

All work is carried out while maintaining two lanes in each direction to ensure the availability and capacity of the traffic route.

The BERNARD Gruppe has been commissioned with the preparation of the tender documents, the bid evaluation and the local construction supervision for both construction phases.
