The BERNARD Gruppe was commissioned by DB InfraGO AG to plan the western connection to the new depot (2nd construction stage) of the maintenance facility in Steinhausen, Munich.
The Steinhausen maintenance facility is being extended so that the future timetable densification with additional S-Bahn trains can be implemented. The new track connection to the maintenance facility will be built on the existing tracks in a very confined space and during ongoing rail operations.
The contract awarded to the BERNARD Gruppe comprises the project planning of the transport infrastructure as well as the project planning and structural design of the engineering structures.
