The BERNARD Gruppe has been awarded the contract for the local construction supervision as well as for the contract management of the remaining construction lots of the Brenner Base Tunnel in a joint venture. This railway tunnel will create a new high-speed line between Austria (Innsbruck station) and Italy (Franzensfeste station).
The BERNARD Gruppe has been involved in the Brenner Base Tunnel project since the submission phase and has been repeatedly entrusted with various contracts up to the current execution phase. We are very pleased that we can now also make a significant contribution to the success of the project of the century with one of our core competencies, local construction supervision.
The BERNARD Gruppe will supervise tunnelling and interior work during future tunnel construction and check whether the work is being carried out according to plan, in line with the current state of the art and in accordance with the tender specifications.
The consortium consists of the four companies BERNARD Gruppe, Geoconsult, IGT and Pini Swiss. The BERNARD Gruppe acts as lead partner.
