Nuclear technology
We provide services for the dismantling (decommissioning) of nuclear plants. Our tasks include, for example, studies, permit application procedures or structural-constructive services as well as project management, cost estimates and recycling concepts for plant parts. Our clients are primarily disposal companies for nuclear plants. Our services range from conceptual studies to implementation – with the objective of realizing first-class sustainable solutions. We achieve this goal through high-quality standards for our services and by working together in interdisciplinary teams within the BERNARD Gruppe. In keeping with our core values, we work professionally, competently and fairly with our partners and clients. In the field of nuclear technology, the BERNARD Gruppe has already successfully completed projects for various clients. As an interdisciplinary engineering firm, we have experts from other fields available in-house. Decommissioning
Our engineering services in the field of decommissioning include studies and concepts, dismantling projects and the monitoring of dismantling measures, cost estimates and tenders, permit application and acceptance procedures, logistics management for storage and recycling concepts for plant components, and radiation protection.
Commissioning
The commissioning of nuclear facilities mainly includes engineering and testing services in the fields of structural design, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and technical building services. We carry out test measurements and prepare documentation including operating manuals, test instructions, official documentation and technical inspection documents.
Inspections
We perform periodic inspections and retrofitting of nuclear power plants in the fields of control and instrumentation technology and mechanics – primarily in cooperation with the permanent staff of the respective nuclear power plant. The main focus of the inspection works is on the checking and calibration of physical sensors, on electronic measurement technology, measurement transformers and limit control charts, as well as on the revision of output and evaluation systems in the course of the annual inspections required for reactor protection.
