Adaptive traffic light systems reduce congestion and ensure targeted prioritisation – in real time.
The BMA TLC detects traffic, and the BMC transmits switching pulses to the control unit via potential-free contacts. In this way, waiting times can be reduced, tailbacks avoided and individual traffic classes (e.g. cycling, walking, public transport) can be prioritised in a targeted manner – without civil engineering works, and as a replacement for several induction loops. The solution scales from individual intersections to networks and can be configured and monitored centrally.
