The approximately 12.5-hectare “Harthweide” development area in Zwenkau comprises around 110 residential units in detached and semi-detached houses, 30 residential units in a senior citizens’ facility, and a daycare center. The lakeside location requires a high proportion of green space and integration into an adjacent harbor development. In the course of planning, traffic surveys, traffic forecasts, and performance records were compiled, and cross-sectional design and traffic access were examined. In addition, noise assessments were carried out in accordance with DIN 18005 and DIN 4109 with corresponding specifications for noise protection.
