The BERNARD Mobility Analyser Traffic Light Controller (BMA TLC) makes traffic light systems adaptive: it detects traffic in real time and transmits switching pulses via the BMC directly to the traffic light controller.
Instead of rigid programs, your intersection reacts dynamically to the current traffic situation. The BMA TLC detects and classifies road users and triggers event-based signals – for less congestion, decreased waiting times and better prioritisation (e.g. bicycle and pedestrian traffic). In combination with the BMC, a practical alternative to loops and additional detector technology is created.
