Reliable traffic data for planning and operation – permanent or temporary.
With BERNARD, you can record traffic volumes and their composition directly where decisions are made: on routes, at intersection or in entire areas. The sensor technology provides the data, and the analysis creates time series and findings for planning, operation and proof of effectiveness.
Traffic volume counts
As part of traffic volume traffic counts, various traffic classes such as cars and trucks are recorded that pass a defined road section, the so-called counting point, during a specified period of time. The BMA (permanent) or Mobile BMA (temporary) count and classify along defined counting lines.
Intersection traffic counts
Traffic flow data differentiated by directional movement – for reliable turning movement data, peaks and shifts in signal planning and impact analysis.
Traffic flow survey
Number-plate recognition data at several points are linked to traffic flows and travel times. This results in analyses of origin, destination and through traffic, segmented by traffic class and origin (country/region). Data protection is ensured by edge processing and hashing. The results support area analyses, action planning and traffic optimisation.
