The BERNARD Gruppe is supporting the modernisation of the Koblenz-Lützel transport hub with comprehensive planning services and is consistently driving the project forward along the high-performance corridor on the left bank of the Rhine.
The planning focuses on modern, high-performance and accessible solutions for passenger transport. The project involves the renewal of the two central platforms, the construction of an underpass linking the neighbourhoods, and the modernisation of the technical infrastructure. In addition, the forecourt on the east side is being completely redesigned by the City of Koblenz, whilst on the west side a new staircase and a cycle ramp connecting to Mayener Straße are being constructed. The new underpass will be designed as a combined pedestrian and cycle path and will connect to the forecourt in the east and to the staircase and the ramp structure in the west. The two central platforms will be accessible via the new underpass. The preparation of documents for submission to authorities or for approval by authorities was recently successfully completed. The tender design is currently being finalised. All design phases are being carried out entirely using the BIM method, thereby laying the foundations for an efficient and coordinated implementation of the project.
