In the course of planned utility works on Badhausstraße in Igls, the BERNARD Gruppe assisted with the traffic analysis of a future construction site. The aim was to investigate the impact of a construction project lasting around one and a half years on local traffic and to provide a sound data basis for all design phases.
Three mobile traffic counting systems were deployed at selected locations along Badhausstraße for the traffic survey. Over a period of one week, traffic flows were recorded at a total of three measurement points. The data was collected with the aim of gaining as detailed an insight as possible into traffic volumes, directions of travel and movement patterns. The traffic data collected was made available digitally whilst the measurements were still ongoing and was subsequently analysed by the BERNARD Gruppe’s transport planning team. The results enable a well-founded assessment of the current traffic situation and provide the basis for a transparent evaluation of the impact of the forthcoming construction site on local residents, commuters and other road users. By combining modern measurement engineering with expertise in transport planning, the BERNARD Gruppe provides a reliable basis for decision-making on infrastructure projects. Precise traffic data helps to plan measures in a targeted manner and to take the impact on the transport network into account at an early stage.
