The town of Hennigsdorf commissioned a traffic survey to analyse road space use between Parkstraße and Nauener Straße in detail and to support the planning of future measures for safe traffic management.

The BERNARD Gruppe was responsible for carrying out the traffic count. The BERNARD Mobility Analyser (BMA) was used. Over a period of four weeks, the movements of pedestrians, cyclists and motor vehicles were continuously recorded along the entire survey area using a total of nine analysis devices. The data obtained provides a reliable basis for further transport planning decisions concerning the installed pedestrian protection systems. In addition, critical overturning manoeuvres of buses at stops were quantified. The observed traffic situations were also analysed qualitatively, with a particular focus on road safety aspects. By using the BMAs, the BERNARD Gruppe supported the town of Hennigsdorf with data-based transport planning. The aim is to create safe, sustainable and future-proof mobility solutions.
