The BERNARD Gruppe  has been commissioned to design three traffic light systems in the through-roads of Steingaden. The aim is to improve road safety at key junctions and, in particular, to create crossing facilities for pedestrians and cyclists.

The focus is on the B 17/St 2059 junction, a pedestrian crossing on the B 17 near the town hall, and a further crossing on the St 2059 west of Hopfenfeldstraße. The BERNARD Gruppe is responsible for the complete technical planning of the systems, developing the control logic and preparing the tender documents. The planning is based on existing traffic studies and current site plans. Building on this, new signal layout plans are drawn up, detection and signal locations are defined, and the necessary signal intervals are calculated. For all three systems, the control system is being developed using a phase-oriented approach with decentralised modification

With this service, ranging from planning and simulation to the preparation of tender documents, the BERNARD Gruppe ensures efficient traffic management for all road users.
