The municipal council of Albbruck has approved the design. A core component is the new construction of Klinikum Hochrhein for the district of Waldshut. The BERNARD Gruppe prepared the Traffic report, which verifies the traffic performance and identifies the required dimensioning of the development infrastructure.

The municipal council of Albbruck has approved the design. A core component is the new construction of Klinikum Hochrhein for the district of Waldshut. The BERNARD Gruppe prepared the Traffic report, which verifies the traffic performance and identifies the required dimensioning of the development infrastructure. In Albbruck, the new construction of Klinikum Hochrhein (KLHR) is being built, integrated into the overall “Gesundheitspark Albbruck” site, which will comprise a variety of associated uses, including specialist medical practices, medical retail, assisted living for seniors, a rescue station, staff accommodation and the reservation of a construction site for a future potential childcare facility and local supply market. Most of the parking spaces are to be accommodated in a parking garage. The site will be connected via two signalised junctions to the B 34.

The Traffic report includes the calculation of new traffic volumes and the derivation of a functional development system. At the same time, in the interest of traffic reorganisation, traffic flow and road safety, existing access points will be dismantled.

The objective of the report is to verify the traffic performance of the connecting junctions for motorised traffic to the B 34 and to determine the necessary expansion with regard to the junction form and the required traffic areas. The connection of the modes of transport promoting ecomobility (pedestrian, cycling and public transport) to the existing route network was also developed.

The Traffic report is part of the documents for the development plan. The design will therefore proceed to public display and to the participation of the authorities and public interest groups.
