Throughout the year, the BERNARD Gruppe worked on numerous projects. The range extends from complex infrastructure and mobility projects as well as energy and industrial projects to research and development services. The projects mentioned below represent a selection of our diversity and reflect the interdisciplinarity of the BERNARD Gruppe.
Energy
In the Energy business field, projects for safeguarding and modernizing technical infrastructure were carried out, among others. These include, for example, local construction supervision for inner-city infrastructure measures as well as the planning of overhead line projects in the railway sector. The overhead line project between Pirach and Simbach, as an example of our numerous grid expansion projects, shows how planning, technical coordination and approval processes are closely interlinked.

Industry
In the Industry business field, the focus was once again on innovation. The BERNARD Gruppe supported modern plant concepts for new energy carriers and assisted industrial processes with digital applications. One example is the determination of container positions at the Port of Rostock, where camera-based systems are used to increase efficiency in logistics.

Infrastructure
The Infrastructure business field was characterized, among other things, by complex tasks in railway infrastructure. The BERNARD Gruppe works, for example, on the planning of rail connections, the renewal and refurbishment of railway bridges and stations. Another example is the expansion of the Nordbahn in Austria, where our environmental construction supervision services place high demands on nature conservation, construction coordination and quality assurance.

Mobility
In the Mobility business field, projects for the further development of sustainable forms of transport shaped the past year. The BERNARD Gruppe is actively involved in the largest light rail projects in German-speaking countries. As an example of activities in the field of alternative transport routes, the BERNARD Gruppe develops measures to promote pedestrian traffic on behalf of the State of Baden-Württemberg or prepares traffic engineering concepts for green waves for cyclists.
