The BERNARD Gruppe is developing a cross-sectional land management concept along the German A 98 motorway between Rheinfelden, Schwörstadt, and Murg. Based on this concept, the disposal and reuse of excavated soil can be planned at an early stage and geared towards sustainable use.
The aim is to maximize on-site retention of valuable soil resources within the project area. Excavated soil should be reused or processed. On-site retention shortens transportation routes, conserves land and significantly reduces the impact on nature and the landscape. The land management concept is being developed in close coordination with the specialist planners and authorities. It will determine how materials are stored, recycled or disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. The concept provides an efficient basis for further planning and implementation of the construction work. With this approach, the BERNARD Gruppe supports a resource-saving and economical realization of the A 98 motorway – in the sense of modern and sustainable infrastructure development.
