On behalf of Salzburg Netz GmbH, the BERNARD Gruppe is conducting a feasibility study on the planned hydrogen pipeline between the state border with Upper Austria (Reitsham) and the city of Salzburg (Muntigl). The aim is to assess the technical and economic feasibility of an H2 grid in the Salzburg area.
The study is examining potential route corridors over a length of around 25 kilometers. The route is determined on the basis of topographical, geological and infrastructural criteria. Existing network and traffic routes are taken into account, as are environmental conditions and protected areas.
In addition to the documentation of variants in the form of maps and drawings, the analysis also includes a systematic evaluation of project-critical sections, the division into construction lots and an initial cost estimate. In addition, requirements for rights of way, potential clearing areas and approval processes are being recorded.
As a basis for further planning, the final report will contain, among other things, a description of the proposed route, an overview of the technical and legal framework conditions and a rough timetable for implementation.
The feasibility study makes a significant contribution to the development of a climate-friendly energy infrastructure. With our engineering expertise, we create a reliable basis for decision-making for future-oriented projects in the field of hydrogen logistics.
