The BERNARD Gruppe supplies video-based counting devices for efficient and data protection-compliant traffic surveys for Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes, the German motorway provider.

The mobile BERNARD Mobility Analyser enables precise turning movement counts, as well as cross-section and capacity utilization surveys – even on busy, six-lane motorway sections and rest areas. All relevant modes of transport are recorded. Measurement at 15-minute intervals and recording of average speed is possible without any problems.

Thanks to its light weight and height-adjustable carbon pole, the sensor is very quick and easy to install. It can be used flexibly by Die Autobahn GmbH at almost any location, and it is powered by a rechargeable battery for up to 5 days. Another advantage: The survey data, such as daily traffic graphs, traffic volumes or modal split, can be conveniently viewed and downloaded via a user-friendly online dashboard.

The focus is always on compliance with data protection regulations. The AI-based BERNARD Mobility Analyser processes personal data only vaguely, without storing it and only for the purpose of anonymization.
