The BERNARD Gruppe is working on an independent mobility concept for the planned development of the undeveloped area “Gilchinger Glatze” in the heart of the municipality of Gilching. The aim is to create a viable basis for future transport connections and uses at an early stage.
The new concept goes well beyond the existing municipality-wide mobility concept. The focus is on a detailed trip generation calculation for all planned uses, the evaluation and optimization of the parking space situation and the integration of innovative mobility options. The capacity of the surrounding intersections and a possible parallel railroad line are also being examined. Methodologically, the concept is based on a structured work program: It comprises the inclusion of the framework conditions and measures from the overarching concept, the development of concrete proposals for the development of the area, and the recommendation of a preferred variant. The focus is always on strengthening pedestrian and bicycle traffic and specifically reducing the number of cars. With this service, the BERNARD Gruppe is supporting the municipality of Gilching in the development of a sustainable neighborhood, and at the same time making a contribution to improve sustainability and quality of life.
