The BERNARD Gruppe was commissioned by the district office of Miesbach to draw up an integrated mobility concept.
The district of Miesbach is actively committed to a change in mobility in its area of responsibility. Among other things, it aims to shift motorized private transport to eco-mobility to achieve the district’s renewable energy targets in the transport sector. In addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the aim is to increase the attractiveness of mobility services in rural areas. Overall, the mobility concept is intended to initiate concrete measures and contribute to sustainable transport development. A guideline for action will be developed, including a concrete reference for implementation. The project is funded by the Free State of Bavaria as part of the LEADER program and co-financed by the European Union.
In order to determine mobility needs, and as a basis for analyzing and evaluating the current situation, the BERNARD Gruppe conducted an online survey on the mobility behavior of the district’s citizens. Further online participation will also enable the involvement of commuters and visitors as well as the district municipalities. For the online surveys, the BERNARD Gruppe is using the BERNARD Geobased Citizen Questionnaire (BGCQ), a web-based application developed in-house for efficient and effective stakeholder management. In addition, the BERNARD Gruppe organized face-to-face workshops for citizens, municipal representatives and stakeholders. Objectives and future scenarios will be developed and discussed with all stakeholders in spring 2025.
