The BERNARD Gruppe supports ASFINAG, the Austrian motorway company, in assessing the condition of around 5,900 bridges on the Austrian road network.
The long-term monitoring of a bridge structure forms a substantial part of the assessment of the condition of civil engineering structures. By inspecting bridges on a continuous basis and by using modern technologies such as drones and sensors, weak points can be identified at an early stage. In this way, a timely planning of maintenance and new construction measures is guaranteed to ensure road safety.
