The BERNARD Gruppe is responsible for the grid booster project “Netzbooster Kupferzell” as manager for permit application design. After a record time of just 10.5 months and the submission of the complex application documents, permit was granted for the project, with early start of construction and planning approval.
The transmission grid must be adapted to increased demand as part of Germany’s transition to renewable energy. As an alternative to grid expansion, there are other options for grid stability, e.g. large batteries such as the grid booster. The assignment of the BERNARD Gruppe as manager for permit application includes the coordination of the planning team, quality assurance of documents and cooperation in claims management.
