The BERNARD Gruppe is accompanying the project owned by August Weckermann KG, which is based in Germany’s Black Forest region. The project aims at achieving a 85% energy self-sufficiency of the company.
The concept involves making full use of the photovoltaic electricity produced in-house. Hydrogen will be used to store the energy generated and not immediately required. At times when little or no electricity is generated by means of photovoltaics, electricity can be generated with a fuel cell, and be used for production.
The contract awarded to the BERNARD Gruppe includes the detailed engineering of the main components, including the detailed planning of the system as a 3D model.
