The BERNARD Gruppe has been commissioned with the planning for the “Nord 1” section of the Korridor B V48 project. Korridor B is a central component of the German transition to renewable energy. It is being implemented as an underground cable project.

The extra-high-voltage direct current connection is expected to transmit wind power from Schleswig-Holstein and the north of Lower Saxony to North Rhine-Westphalia from the early 2030s. The contract includes the technical planning of the route corridor, as well as the planning and supervision of subsoil exploration works.
