On behalf of the city of Leverkusen, the BERNARD Gruppe is carrying out the testing of the design of traffic lights ready for implementation and submission for traffic regulation compliances. The aim is to ensure that the design of the traffic control system meets the safety and signaling requirements.
The BERNARD Gruppe has been providing this service regularly since 2020 and has already reviewed over 20 traffic light designs since then. The scope of services includes reviewing the planning documents, checking the location, checking the signal planning in accordance with the German guideline for traffic light systems (RiLSA), checking the vehicle-actuation with the signalization used and finally developing a test report.
