The “Zweckverband Interkommunales Gewerbegebiet Landkreis Günzburg”, a special purpose association established to build an inter-municipal industrial estate for the district of Günzburg, commissioned the BERNARD Gruppe with the traffic study for the expansion of the AREALpro industrial estate.
As part of the conversion of the former Leipheim airbase into an inter-municipal industrial estate for the district of Günzburg, the BERNARD Gruppe has developed a regional transport model. Now that the previously designated commercial areas in the AREALpro area have largely been settled or sold, two expansion areas near a former runway will be used to increase the supply of space. For this reason, the 2035 traffic forecast must be expanded and updated to include additional areas. The effects of a bypass around the municipality of Bubesheim will also be examined. The project will be carried out in close coordination with the Bavarian building office in Krumbach.
The services of the BERNARD Gruppe include updating the traffic model and the traffic forecast up to 2035 in the variants with and without the Bubesheim bypass.
