The BERNARD Gruppe was commissioned by the Ministry of Transport Baden-Württemberg with the project aiming at accelerating the implementation of the RadNETZ Baden-Württemberg (“Umsetzungsbeschleunigung des RadNETZes Baden-Württemberg”).
Baden-Württemberg has set itself the goal of doubling its bicycle traffic share by 2030. Between 2014 and 2016, the BERNARD Gruppe created the foundations for the state-wide bicycle network for everyday cycling (RadNETZ) as part of a consortium on behalf of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport. So far, 16 percent of all measures along the RadNETZ have been implemented or are currently in the planning phase.
With the aim of achieving full implementation of the RadNETZ by 2030, the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport has initiated the project aiming at accelerating the implementation process and commissioned the BERNARD Gruppe once again.
The first workshops for RadNETZ Baden-Württemberg have already taken place in Freiburg, Tübingen and Schwäbisch Hall.
