After an extensive design, permit application and approval phase, construction of the 780-kilometer SuedOstLink direct current line began on 11 December 2023.
Thanks to the approval of the early start of construction by the Federal Network Agency, the SuedOstLink can go into construction even before the planning approval decision. This step has marked the official start of another major energy transition project in Germany.
The BERNARD Gruppe celebrated the ground-breaking ceremony for the SuedOstLink project together with a delegation from the construction site team of ARGE BM SOL Süd (CDM Smith / INP / BERNARD / ZETCON) in Niederaichbach.
