On the A12 Inntal motorway, a complete overhaul of the section between the junctions Völs-Kranebitten and Zirl-Ost is planned. To ensure an efficient traffic management during construction, a planning concept is required for traffic control and safety.
For this purpose, an inspection will be carried out to document the technical facilities on the route and at the junctions, as well as the current overall situation with regard to markings and signage. On the basis of these conditions, routing options for construction site traffic will be analyzed and the design of the different variants will be prepared. Among other things, traffic loads, traffic speed and capacities, but also special transport operations have to be taken into account.
Together with the Austrian motorway company ASFINAG, the advantages and disadvantages of the individual variants will be discussed and recommendations for action will be formulated for the most suitable variant (e.g. 4+0; 3+1) as a basis for decision-making.
