The BERNARD Gruppe was commissioned by the Austrian motorway company ASFINAG to supervise and carry out the preparation of tender documents, the bid evaluation and the local site supervision for the construction of the first green noise barrier in Tyrol.
In order to reduce noise pollution for local residents, the first green noise barrier was erected on the A12 Inntal motorway section between Kramsach and Hagau. In addition to visual and noise protection, the noise barrier provides a habitat for insects and birds, lowers the ambient temperature, binds fine dust and contributes to biodiversity.
The new green noise barrier is a solution guaranteeing a minimum service life of 60 years, around 50 percent less CO2 consumption and numerous ecological benefits.
